Howe Sound is home to a diverse array of marine wildlife, including seals, sea lions, porpoises, whales and various seabird species such as bald eagles, ospreys, and cormorants. Getting up-close and personal with these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat is what makes kayaking in Vancouver, BC’s Howe Sound such a unique experience.
The tour navigates through breathtaking scenery, including rugged coastlines, lush forests, and towering mountains. Guests can admire panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and capture stunning photo opportunities. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself snorkeling with seals as they are often curious and may approach snorkelers to investigate them. If you choose not to splash in the water you can take the kayaks that we have on board and soak up all the magnificent views and wildlife that surrounds us.
The tour offers kayaking from March to November and during the summer months (May to September) snorkeling is also an option as a complement or an alternative to kayaking.
Our knowledgeable guides onboard provide commentary about the history and wildlife of Howe Sound. They will share fascinating facts about the area’s marine life, and conservation efforts.
